About Cats Illustrated

Cats Illustrated is a low profit organization written and co-founded by the one and the only Leo Sahlin (if you’re wondering who Leo co-founded this with, it was a cat, duh).

Cats Illustrated costs just five cents per issue, but a more common payment would be thirty five cents a week. We take pride in finding the most personal issues in cats’ lives, and we love to dig up dirt that might be better off left alone.

Cats Illustrated has had some problems in the past, but right now, we are up and running, chugging out new issues each day. We’re glad you took the time to look in this section!

Now, for the formal stuff. Thanks to TinyKittens in Canada and Kitten Rescue in Los Angeles for their wonderful live cams, which is where the cats came from. Of course, most of the cat names are made up, but some, like North, Harvey, Reposado, Mavis, and Naya, and a few more were not of our making (yes, Lunch’s real name is not Lunch, it is Carly, so sorry Lunch fans, that name was made up). Additional thanks to Google and various stock photo companies for a few other images.

Cats Illustrated has gotten many of its ideas from stuff in the real world, such as COVID, the Olympics, county fairs, and even Diary of a Wimpy Kid, a series written by Jeff Kinney, for the idea of fried butter on a stick.

If you want to hear more about Leo Sahlin, take a hike, because no way is he going to put stuff about him on the internet. If you’re thinking, “oh, I thought he was the one writing the issues, so isn’t he the one writing this?” Well he usually writes everything, but he’s letting me write this (yeah, I’m the cat who co-founded Cats Illustrated with Leo but I’m not going to put my information on the internet either).

All I can tell you to do is, keep reading for more fun issues, make sure to pay on time unlike some people, and subscribe again for more on Cats Illustrated!
